Miserable New Year from the Miserable Men! We’ve made it to 2008 with Shuli, Rev. Bob, someone I’m not sure of (stupid Crystal.net recording) and - in his first appearance - the great Al Rosenberg! Cyrus from Philly calls in and Bob announces that he’s holding off for a while from getting married to Chrissy (spoiler alert: only Shuli remained with his girl, while Bob (2 divorces), Mike (1 divorce) and Mark (1 divorce and countless broken hearts) didn’t). Gary the Conqueror calls in and the guys mess with him relentlessly throughout the night. Tuesday calls in and provides a female perspective. Later, Chrissy calls in to talk about the postponed wedding and her man, Bob. Lots of good stuff going on in this show.

You might be getting the idea that Jim Florentine isn’t on the current roster of Miserable Men, and you’d be right, Jim is done not getting paid. Don’t despair, though, because the FAB FIVE is well on the way to being a reality, as the great Al Rosenberg joins Shuli, Rev. Bob Levy and Mike Morse to deliver the misery! Bob’s back on Xanax again. Can the guys help Al get some stank on his hang-low? There’s some talk about taking over the Friday slot (when Howard ramped it down from 5 to 4 days a week), but as we know, it was not to be. All this and more, as the boys ramp up to their prime.

January 2008. Obama just took office for his first term, inheriting a tanking economy from Bush the Slow Adult. Trump was still taking in appropriate photos with his young daughter. Mark was still from Jersey City, and hadn’t cracked the “big time” on the Miserable Men show. And even though the recording sucks, we are lucky to have it at all, as we approach the beginning of the “salad days” of the Miserable Men show, with Shuli, Rev. Bob, Mike Morse, and a young, flexible, and horny Al Rosenberg, with Sirus’s Madison as a special guest and Colin Quinn calling in. As we begin, Shuli is in love (he should be, his now-wife is a CATCH), Bob is on Clonopin, Mike is miserable and in the laundry room making silly songs, and Al is still coming to grips with the wickedly-hot Raven. Take two hours off from real life and revisit the bad old days with Miserable Men!

Subbing for Ferrall, it’s a FOUR HOUR MISERABLE EXTRAVAGANZA with Shuli, Rev. Bob Levy, Mike Morse and special guests Colin Quinn and Jason Ellis. Remember Riley Martin’s “food poisoning” episode? The boys play some clips from last night’s show when Riley called in to take exception to how he was treated by our boys, and he’s great. DAMN I miss Riley! Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling sticks his head in the door for a moment. There are also some great Howard 100 News Brief moments in this show, just another element of the Howard channels on Sirius that’s long gone like MM, Bubba, Ferrall, etc. Sigh. At least we don’t have the Superfan Roundtable anymore, right? Enjoy this blast from the past.

Tonight’s miserable lineup is Shuli, Rev. Bob Levy, Mike Morse, Al Rosenberg and special guest Beetlejuice! The boys recap their recent trip to Canerda, including some great Jim Florentine stuff. Andy from Ontario and Hanzi were there, and they both call in, as do a good number of other people. Bob lost another tooth over the weekend, biting down on a bag of blow, so of course there’s another “Win Bob’s Tooth” contest. The boys break into a rousing rendition of the “Greatest American Hero” theme song. We get the story of the slap heard round the world, as the stage begins to be set for the Danny Bonaduce boxing match. Bob is drinking again! So much winning on this great show!

Sunday night, 7:00 Easton time! Normally, it’s a miserable time! The end of the weekend, work tomorrow for most people. But not for us! We get Shuli, Rev. Bob Levy, Mike Morse and the great Al Rosenberg to ease our pain! Huge drama at a big “Levy’s Comedy Club” show this weekend, featuring Riley Martin, Sal Governale, Richard Christy, The Iron Sheik and Beetlejuice. Sal calls in to give his account of what happened that night. (Boy, do I miss Riley, who calls in later!) If that wasn't enough, we have the beginning of the end of Yucko and Yoko. (Nicole Denyel, btw... bitch. How DARE she do that to Roger!) Really, a FANTASTIC show, with LOTS of call ins!

4-6-2008

Shuli, Rev. Bob, the Legendary Al Rosenberg and Miserable Mike Morse, along with the first regular appearance of Mark “From Jersey City” Byrnes! Chrissy Levy is also about, but Bob assures us they are not “Captain and Tenell.” Is Beetlejuice the most successful wack packer ever? Angry Alice calls in, as does our buddy Andy From Ontario. It’s the beginning of the Fab Five here on the Miserable Replay!

4-20-2008

Beginning with this show, I recorded most of them myself, commercials and all (remember Ashley Madison? Howard 100 news breaks?), so there will be fewer crappy quality CrystalNet shows. Shuli is back from Amsterdam, and is joined by Rev. Bob Levy, Mike Morse, the extra Jewy Al Rosenberg, and Mark Byrnes. Cyrusville is the topic, and we even get to hear the late, great Cyrus sing his own parody song! The Bonaduce boxing match talk gets into full swing! Sadly, Melrose Larry Green takes up 10 seconds of our time, but there’s plenty of goodness and misery to be had on the BEST SHOW ON HOWARD 101!

4-27-2008

Doctor Juice joins the Fab Five, and they have a lot to talk about from this weekend’s shows in San Antonio. Shuli’s got an especially taboo mother and daughter story to tell, and Bob “officially retires” from the blue cheese bit. (spoiler: fake news). Chris from Arizona gets banned for bong hits (spoiler: fake news). The short-lived SFN feud is discussed (remember when Boots was a mod there? His webcam was legendary!) Yoko calls in, and reminds me that women other than Shuli’s and my wife are evil and can never be trusted. Beetle is on fire on this energetic show!
